I initial noticed that this tv's image quality was superior to any of the opposite customary lcds and superior to most of the LED tvs that were hanging on the wall at twice the value. Since it had been Walmart, and that they are notorious for having crappy tv feeds, I took this with a grain of salt and determined i might visit another walmart to envision if the standard variations were an equivalent. They were. i could not believe how natural the sharpness of the E420VL was at this pricepoint. i am a photographer thus my eye is trained to identify sharpening artifacts (halos, etc) and this tv had none. the image had awesome definition with the sharpness set to one, that is amazing. Another factor I noticed were the natural trying reds. One factor I've never liked regarding LCD tvs is that the over-blown reds that are nearly fluorescent trying.
